With similar Metro outages to London Tube outages at weekends we started the days transport on a metro replacement bus. Buses give you a much better view of the city, although they do also give a better view of the more unstable members of the city.
We were heading into Williamsburg for the brewery tour, 30 minutes of understanding where some of my favourite beers come from followed by a piss up in a brewery!

Well, a couple of small beers, beers brewed in the building we were in. Then off to the Whisky bar which had carded us the day before, this time we had ID and were ready, but no doorman, no carding, just mini hotdogs, cocktails and a great atmosphere.

Not being a big fan of whiskey I was nervous of the sneaky shot Jonathon our barman poured for the boys but the Tom Lawless was delicious!
For Fiona's birthday meal we wanted steak, the first recommendation was full, which was a shame, luckily Mortons was more accommodating. We passed on starters and deserts being fully aware of US portion sizes and we all still left food on the plate, delicious though, and I have never been introduced to broccoli before...
Yes this trip has turned into a walking and eating tour of Brooklyn. It is good.
